Here's an idea I'm pondering:
Remote item personal identity feeds.
It's decentralized because it's your feed which you can host anywhere. Because it's your url, you've already established ownership.
It can also have a guid, and once the guid is assigned to you, it's yours forever.
There can also be a directory for looking up different people, just like we're doing with podcasts.
Inside each feed is everything you would need for the value tag and person tag for that person.
