The Fall of Debt’s Sweet Reign

O woe, the ancient reign of debt doth fade,
Where quills did scratch the bonds twixt man and man,
A golden chain, by want and promise made,
Held firm the world in thrift’s unyielding span.
No more the debtor’s sigh, the lender’s grace,
Nor parchment stained with ink of borrowed time,
But now ascends a colder, sterner race,
Where wealth alone doth ring the loudest chime.

What chaos brews when coin, not trust, doth rule?
The heart of trade, once warm with mutual need,
Grows chill, as riches scorn the humble fool,
And glut the proud with bounty’s selfish greed.
O fickle fate! This shift I sore deplore,
For debt’s old dance was fairer than wealth’s war.

The Veil of Debt Unraveled

Fair seems the yoke of debt to blinded eyes,
That pulls tomorrow’s gold to gild today,
Yet in this charm a shadowed ruin lies,
A thief disguised in promise’s bright array.
No virtue dwells in borrowing fate’s own store,
To heap the present high with fleeting glee,
For debts unpaid do summon tempests sore,
And dash our barque on rocks we cannot see.

O let us pierce this veil of fond deceit,
Question the path where future’s blood is spent,
Lest, clinging to illusion’s honeyed seat,
We wake to find our commonwealth forspent.
The time is now to shun this fatal tide,
And build with wealth, where truer hopes reside.

The Dawn of Wealth’s Bright Realm

O wonder new, mine eyes, once dim, now see,
The scales of debt’s fond loyalty do fall,
Where once I mourned its reign in fealty free,
Now wealth’s vast promise doth my soul enthrall.
No longer bound to pilfer time unborn,
But from this day we forge a boundless gain,
A world where all life’s tapestry is worn,
And starry skies our noble dreams sustain.

What filter dire stood dark before our gate,
Dissolves in light of this awakened view,
A commonwealth where greed doth not dictate,
But bounty blooms for every beast and yew.
O friend, thy plea hath turned my heart aright,
To wealth’s new dawn, I pledge my raptured sight.
