Since
LynAlden (nprofile…3tqm) has been asking some interesting questions about fiction, I wanted to ask about something that has been done well in a series I'm reading, summed up as:
"The good guys suffer a substantial loss and the bad guys seem to prevail at the end of each book in the series."
Any other books you can recommend that do this?
If you liked Ayn Rand's fiction you might like Doug Casey's "High Ground" series: "Speculator", "Drug Lord", "Assassin" and "Terrorist".
Spoiler... the main bad guy runs the Federal Reserve. 🤑
