Yeah, I set up a PDS for a day or two. Seemed entirely pointless given that the data needed to go into a relay in order to do anything other than sit on my own machine, not even readable in my web browser.
Those are more like leaves than nodes really. Like clients communicating with the real node, the relay. I ditched it.
Might be some point in it if it had a web front end to at least display the posts it holds without going via the full bluesky index. Maybe this Free Our Feeds thing will build one of them.
