The key messages here seem to be - and you may disagree because it’s entirely subjective divination - that “Russia is close to achieving the SMO goals” and it’s not interested in prolonged attrition war. The first in reality means that Kremlin is ready to announce that the whole goal of the SMO was to capture say Kurakhove, for its eternally strategic value, and once it’s been achieved, declare total victory.
