Someone responded to the post saying that I was impolite/rude for posting the note on social media and that the man must have been soo anxious to talk to me, and he was actually brave to do what he did and that I should have been nicer to him and not embarrass him by posting.
That someone was more concerned with this man's ego and desire than he was about my comfort and safety. As is our culture at large, when it comes to violence against women.
