Izzy :bunhop: (npub1ay7…87m2) $70 sounds cheap for a pair, so why not. I did that distance back in 2006 with non-directional AP antennas and a cantenna or pie-tin antenna on the RX side.
More recently we set up Ubnt ptp to get internet to a digital repeater system at the top of a building, and that also worked fine.
With trees you're gunna have to maybe fiddle a lot with the aiming. Just remember it doesn't generally come out of the "bore" of most directional antennas, more like a slight Y shape off the end.
