Following my current Metroidvania trend from Astalon as I'm not necessarily keen on becoming good enough at fighting to beat Boss Rush mode, I've rummaged the pile and ended up giving Alwa's Awakening a second try
I started this way back but ended up quitting fairly early, not sure why. Going through it now, it's not bad, even if Astalon is an unfairly hard act to follow. It's more invested in its retro roots tho, exemplified they actually put out a NES version you need an emulator to play[+1]
