Remnantmd (npub1ce9…6q9r) Have you hear about the conflict between the terrain theory and germ theory in 19th century France? The history of medicine is so fascinating to me because it can teach us so much about the paths not chosen in modern medicine. Like, yeah, bacteria cause infections and disease, but how likely is it that a healthy person is going to become seriously ill compared to a sick one (and today everyone is sick, thanks to overdiagnosis and pharmaceutical and big food industries).
