I think the US pushed their govt to be more pro Western, and the people of the east did not support that undemocratic change. with the election of Zelensky, they proved they wanted an end to corruption and the fighting and neutrality in the NATO v Russia divide. but he was not able to do any of that. why? imo Russia is concerned about its border like we would be if they were involved in Mexico. Minsk was the world saying everybody stop fucking around, but it failed.
