Yep, they're massive and go deep. Farmers also have to move fences so those massive blades can get in. It takes 3~5 years to put up a wind farm, and then they blades need to be replaced in 10~15, so the farm is a constant construction site for life. The blades are made from composite materials and/or fiberglass, so they can't be recycled. The old ones are buried in landfills.
