The smallest debian live build of the current version is about 1.5 GB and that is the standard version without a graphical user interface. The smalest one usable for normal humans is more than 3GB. TailsOS is just 1.4. And still badsically fully functional. That is pretty impressive compared to most all other operating systems nowadays.
