"content": "\u003e update regularly.\n\nThat's what I did with a (sacrificial) Trixie install on a Pi CM4.\n\nWhen it was obvious that something important (like Gnome or Plasma) was going to be removed by `dist-upgrade` I'd just hold off on that until it was no longer the case. It seemed like a normal `upgrade` did not have these issues.\n\nThere were times when `dist-upgrade` did upgrade hundreds of packages following the delay.\n\nMy suggestion: backup and let 'er rip.",
