Settings, sort of. Short stories for dnd characters technically barrow the settings of the campaign they're in. Though most of them are setting agnostic in practice.
Nymeria is a big outlier in this regard as her backstory is interwoven directly with the Silver Flame's crusade to kill all therianthropes on the continent of Khorvaire
Regular stories though nah. The closest I get are homages/Easter eggs. Such as Koruu-on-the-Bay in The Witch & The Wolf being a name homage to Kendra-on-the-Delta fron Chronicles of Tornor
