"content": "Yeah this is the read only file system bug, but it's not the only one I have encountered (though it was the worst). For example the switch to AppleFS broke many tools. And things occasionally break due to the case insensitive filesystem on MacOS. MacOS can't read NTFS disks (which is what I use on external hard disks for windows+linux compatibility), nor can anything else read applefs disks. Doing anything dev related on MacOS just feels like building a house on sand which may shift anytime. Linux's security model in contrast has been rock solid for decades",
