We lock up more people per-capita than anywhere.
We have more gun violence than anywhere.
We believe rape victims should have to give birth if they get pregnant.
Politicians make statements about how they would shoot a trans person if they saw one enter a bathroom.
But ya, we won’t tolerate violence. Ya, right.
