I use this Kratky hydroponics set-up to grow lettuce indoors. The thin plywood rests on an Oatey standard tub box (from Menards). The 2" grow cups hold rapid rooter plugs that are suspended above the nutrient solution. I can fit 9 plants per box. The lettuce grows incredibly fast! This photo is just 20 days of growth after seeding.
