#CriminalInjustice #BlackMastodon #BlackTwitter #PretrialDetention #DC @blackmastodon We started a project where we tracked what crime was being reported in the communities surrounding American, Georgetown & George Washington by reading the neighborhood papers. Crime was happening!! But, DC police did not make arrests of white kids. In one case some kids from Georgetown killed one of their team mates. The police allowed them to handle it as a disciplinary matter. That's how the system works. 2/2
