Democratic voters refuse to resist. They guarantee the DNC their votes, no matter what, and so they get nothing.
Republicans on the other hand will not vote for anyone who has the slightest decency or morals. So the whole system is like a ratchet that moves to the right, right, right.
And this is just fine for the Democrats. They are guaranteed to win half the time. Ever wonder why they never ensconced Roe v. Wade as law?
