Finally listened to Solar Power by Lorde. Most of what I heard about it was wrong! This is an album about positivity, but it's not a happy album - she's doing therapy on it, trying to move on from the fame, cracking dark jokes about the worst people she's met on the way. A lot of it ends up being minimalist as a result, simple guitars and occasional drums backing a lot of melancholy - that's the main difference, i think, the music itself. Liability wouldn't feel out of place on here.
