Hyolobrika (npub1pqp…e753) sj_zero (npub1m34…njzz) over time I've become pretty sure that most human beings have some kind of brain subsystem which continuously updates them with an assessment of others' like/dislike toward them, and that in my case, this system is either nonfunctional or nonexistent. this was almost certainly the case for one of my parents as well.
there may possibly be some advantages to this, but there are definitely disadvantages. big ones.
