I'm old enough to remember when people filled the streets trying to stop pointless invasions and occupations while George W. Bush smirked stupidly, initiating forever wars that cost more than two Marshall Plans and likely killed somewhere in the neighborhood of a half-million people, all told.
It was very mean and very stupid, and too many Americans have grown even meaner and stupider in the interim.
