After looking into this,
martien (nprofile…zka7) is correct. It appears CLI and
ZEUS (nprofile…970s) are the only methods to setup an address when closing a channel.
It reads that it has to be part of the close request. That means you have to be the one closing to channel to set this alternative address. It doesn't appear you get the opportunity if the other party closes.
It would be cool if an alternative address (cold storage) could be part of the message when opening a channel with a peer.
Anyone know where there might be information about how to set the wallet funds from a closing lighting channel get deposited into?
I have opened and closed several before, and they all just use the wallet on the node.
I just read that you can set a cold storage wallet to be used for those and/or any HLTCs that go on-chain.
But I haven't seen that option before. Maybe just missed it, but don't recall ever seeing it.
