I was fortunate to have a grandmother who was very kind, affectionate, and "normal". She was the much needed stability in my life,.I spent more time living with her my first 5 years than with my parents. Thankfully, or I might have become the same type of parent as my mother and father.
My grandmother was a typical old-school Ukrainian woman, food was her life, constantly cooking, baking and stuffing everyone with delicious treats, including me.. . 😊
