I would agree that #Ethereum hasn’t conquered as many dapps use cases as initially anticipated but #DeFi is the biggest #crypto use case so far, I don’t know the exact numbers but I bet DeFi dwarfs the medium of exchange use case.
If you follow the evolution of #ETH, you’ll notice that its utility is shifting from a gas token to a decentralized bond-like asset.
Regarding the use of blockchains for general purpose apps, #ArthurBreitman makes a good case that if building apps on blockchains becomes easier and cheaper while the UX delivered to users is on-par with the TradWeb, web builders may chose to build on the #web3 by default even if apps that don’t need censorship resistance. I’m not sure Ethereum will be able to reach this level of performance but #Tezos may achieve it.
Back to Ethereum, have you tried Railgun? It provides pretty good #privacy with private swaps and I think they are looking to enable private DeFi. It would be great to have your take on this privacy tech.
