This is silly.
You definitely don't NEED a hardware wallet.
Matter of fact, you can memorize your keys/words and go ANYWHERE in the world and access your #Bitcoin from ANY wallet.
BUT - a good hardware air gapped wallet with OPEN SOURCE software is a good solution to storing your Bitcoin.
There are plenty of options. And using a computer with NON-open source software of ANY KIND is not the solution.
