Denver- Rainbow trout ranch and campground (24 miles). 3432 feet of positive elevation gain. 8563 feet max height. reached.
Beautiful stage, we started at the Walmart in the Lakewood area, and began to go up Deer Creek Road, a paved road with hardly any traffic and with many cyclists.
We enjoyed it very much, then we connected with the 285 higway to the campsite. $35 but without any type of service beyond a toilet.
