Speaking of the (now default) "EMACS-mode" of UNIX(/Linux) command-line,
some of the most useful keys, apart from those I just mentioned would be <ctrl>+k to "kill" everything to the right of the cursor but storing it in memory (a.k.a. "cut"), with the counter-part being <ctrl>+y to "yank" it back (i.e. "paste"),
then of course if you want to go back to a command you have previously entered and you're tired of <arrow-up><arrow-up><arrow-up>, etc, you can instead do <ctrl>+r and start entering text to do a "reverse search in your history" by just typing the parts you remember that you entered before and then <ctrl>+r again and again until you get the one result you wanted.
If you regret starting that, you go <ctrl>+g to abort ("go away"? :-D).
There is also <alt>+b for "back a word" and <alt>+f for "forward a word" and much more.

If you learn these (and maybe some of the many more related) key-strokes, you can become MUCH faster at the command-line than mouse-based point-and-click can ever achieve.
