If, in some weird scenario, you'd even find yourself without arrow-keys on the command-line prompt in UNIX(/Linux) and DO know the basics of the "vi" text-editor,
most of the command-shells (like BASH, TCSH, ZSH, etc) actually even give you the option of using what you know from "vi" to move around at the command prompt.
For everyday use, you probably don't want to buuut, with the command "set -o vi", they will let you go back to the (very old) default.
Then you can go back to "normal" mode with "set -o emacs" or "set -o gmacs" for the now even more "normal" behavior from the "GNU EMACS" text-editor like behavior on the command-line prompt,
where e.g. <ctrl>+a goes to the start of the line, <ctrl>+e goes to the end, <alt>+b goes back one word, <alt>+f goes forward one word, etc.
