What are some old franchises that have remained consistent in quality up until the modern era?
An example that comes to mind for me is the Civilization series. Even the newest ones are still very solid 4X games, even if some long-time players aren't a fan of some changes across the games. I've got my fingers crossed that Civ7 will continue this trend, though knowing the modern industry, I'm nervous having that kind of hope.
