I worked a 3 mo assignment at Tilley Cardiology, UVMMC in Burlington, VT not long ago. Because it wasn't the ER, a prior authorization was required for everything, even medications. It quickly became the most frustrating aspect of cardiac care. It was infuriating.
Dr. Barbara McAneny runs an oncology practice in NM and says, “we know everything is going to get denied" by the insurance companies.
