Yes. I In cooperative games, we have games with 1) transferrable utility and 2) without transferrable utility. If a game can be transformed from 2) to 1), there is a net gain, on average, in utility for all players. That’s quite intuitive and easy to understand.
Where it gets interesting to me is that it is money that enables efficient transfer of utility, making games type 1) possible. Ergo, the use of money results in an average net gain to all players. :)
