"content": "Agreed for workloads that don't need leading or bleeding edge performance or I/O needs.\n\nOn the flip side, a 32 core 2nd gen AMD EPYC chip with faster base clocks, much more I/O and cache and better IPC can be had with an AMD TDP of ~160 W.\n\nIf I were still in IT and needed machines for non-critical workloads and had enough spares to cover failures, I would use them for dev testing or running lower-spec VDI servers.",
