Had dinner with a follower from the UK the other day. I said "what do you do" he said "I sing chorals and I'm a lawyer". I said "is Chorals a big thing in England?", he said "yeah we have one of the worlds best church choral singers", I said "how do you make money?", he said "half of it comes from government arts funding, the other half comes from Utah". I said, "Utah? What's the story there?" he said, "oh we're rock stars in Utah. they pay us to fly over, we sing all around the state, thousands in attendance, they fund us enough that some singers can just live off of it."
