One might think that "diversity training" in the workplace means to be trained in diverse work-related tasks in order to be competent in various roles, becoming more valuable to the company.
But no. It's a political buzzword that serves as a vague descriptor having little to do with actual job training.
The popularity of parroted buzzwords that sap our linguistic creativity is unavoidable, but I prefer they be more precise -- like "paradigm shift" or "incentivize" or "deep dive." Otherwise all they do is buzz.
