I mentioned something similar regarding zaps to Derek Ross (npub18am…p424) last night and even wrote a quick article about my observations so far on Nostr in the ~60 days here earlier today that touched on that subject and some other observations I’ve had that pose challenges.
I like where your head is at regarding seeking capital from new sources, but I think the addressable market here is too small out of the gate for that to have much of an impact.
I don’t think the problems are unsolvable, but I think people have a propensity to gravitate towards one platform as their general social go-to, and Nostr’s UX lags significantly behind BlueSky and Farcaster, and their network effects are starting to take hold.
Those who want to preserve their social capital here have the highest incentive to help solve this with a sense of urgency. :)
