In many open source projects, a disproportionately small number of contributors either do the work themselves and/or do the glue work to evaluate, review, and merge outside contributions.
It's not a new observation, of course, but we owe so much of our modern world in technology to a relatively small number of people.
Thank you to everyone doing this work that benefits so many of us!
