Jan Boddez (nprofile…dw43) Yeah, but even micro.blog (compared to, say, Facebook or Tumblr) takes quite a bunch of skills to be mastered well. Like, you're close to the hugo templates in there if you want to get things done, and all these aspects - webmention, RSS / feeds, ActivityPub, ... - are still fairly low-level. It seems a lot of these tools are still essentially built having in mind people that are more or less savvy and skilled at web development, not people who are experts in something completely else they just want to write about and maybe link to others with. I'm sure a lot of this would be much easier, in example, if the web wasn't just that channel we have now that is /massively/ focused on consumption of content while it never had publishing and creating content directly baked in (even given HTTP itself also would have allowed that, but apparently this never was anyones priority...).
