You sign up and get a (micro)blog, and can follow people, etc., and it supports not only RSS and all the other feed formats, but webmentions and ActivtyPub, too. And although you can’t self-host, you can use your own domain (and thus, at least theoretically, move your URLs/pages elsewhere).\n\nI had once started setting up something vaguely similar but based on (open-source) WordPress, except, well, lots of drama in that community.",
