Unpopular opinion but making social media more accessible for people with disabilities by adding image descriptions is nice in the same way as it is nice to prepare a syringe of heroin for an addict with no hands. It's still a nice thing to do, sure, somehow, I just wouldn't judge anyone for not doing it.
