Wow… Jameson Lopp (npub17u5…t4tp) nailed it regarding analysis of bitcoin address poisoning attacks. This is something hardware wallets could address through UI displaying confirmation of address as either “self” or “non-self.”
AFAIK, no hardware wallets today can tell you during signing the “to” addresses are “yours” or not.
NVK (npub1az9…m8y8) I think would intrinsically understand this problem…but fixing it will be tricky and can be fixed at transaction creation level too, not just on hardware wallet.
