“Let’s keep 1.5 °C alive”.
We will hear this phrase again and again in the coming weeks.
I would prefer honesty and truth from decision makers than fairytales to sleep well at night. That would mean to accept 1.5 °C is gone, which in turn means they have failed. Utterly failed. Which would lead to informing about risks and consequences. And accepting responsibility and facing the future. Together. Decisively.
But that sounds almost like a fairytale.
