I think about this constantly -
my g’ma used to sit and read the paper.
the golden age of facebook and then twitter allowed people on the fringe to find each other - for better or worse.
but algorithms eventually pushed crazy shit to the forefront making us think it’s more prominent than it is. (my dad is still stuck here.)
