Experience is way more than tasks. It affects emotions, attitudes, it reinforces (or weakens) a customer’s attitude toward the brand; it’s the proverbial journey in Jobs’ idea of journey is the reward.

A focus on customer success at tasks often gets so lost as to be considered an afterthought instead of the core guiding principle.

Calling tech support and being successful there is just as key to good experience as UI/IA considerations. Try calling Google sometime. Or Tesla.
