Wondering why this matters? Resource allocation!
Imagine a large org that doesn’t consider Linux a main platform, but has a popular app on Flathub. They’re getting internal pressure to support this hot Steam Deck thing w/millions of users, but don’t know if they should invest in supporting the existing Flatpak or just distribute through Steam.
If we can show that they have a sizable audience already on Steam Deck, it means more investment in the Flatpak app and thus the ecosystem beyond Steam.
