Paid open source is a total different ballgame that very, VERY few people are playing. It plays by different rules entirely than what I imagine is 90-95% of FOSS, which is basically folks pitching their nights and weekends in to scratching whatever itches they have.
If someone's paying me for a tool and I've advertised it as a Product ™ and not just a thing you can buy me a beer/coffee for as thanks, then yes, I have customers and responsibilities.
Otherwise I have beer.
