However, I would then be responsible for that server, and when there will be security issues (pentests, hacks, or otherwise), someone could blame me or accuse me of not properly taking care of users' personal data by installing a PHP version without security updates for a whopping 8 years. And since I've always preferred to sleep peacefully at night over money going against my principles, I'd rather have someone else do this "dirty" job.
