wow, apparently some luxury brands are taking advantage of the whole duty free thing even more badly now? They structure the deals such that when you pay in a normal shop (which is not duty free) you technically merely receive the bag on loan. Then the next time you pass through an airport, you can scan the receipt in a duty free area, which nominally completes the purchase there, without sales tax.
