My son is very into trains so from a young age we have gone to a local railroad museum that has massive model railroad setups (built and run by the members of the club that runs the museum). Those members fall into two large categories

And young, very diverse teens/young adults
They all interact and clearly mentor each other (and clearly accept people on a wide spectrum of neural diversity)
