You are right in the respect that the globalized system now in place prevents the necessary changes to occur that could make real diferances in emissions.
I still do what I can, because, in the end, as the population grows in a closed ecosystem, we will be forced to do it anyway. This way I can at least be somewhat prepared for drastic changes that are inevitable to come.
